Popular smartphone company Honor has finally unveiled their Honor 70 series handsets in the Chinese market. In addition to the regular variants, Honor 70 Pro and Honor 70 Pro Plus models have also entered the market under this lineup.
The ‘Pro’ variant is the successor to last year’s Honor 60 Pro, but the ‘Pro Plus’s model is a new addition to the Honor 70 series. Both the Honor 70 Pro and Pro Plus devices come with almost identical designs and specifications without the slightest difference. Both the phones have OLED display, 50-megapixel front camera and 4,600 mAh battery. The Honor 70 Pro is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8000 processor, while the 70 Pro Plus uses the Dimensity 9000 chipset. Specifications and Features of Honor 70 Pro and 60 Pro Plus (Honor 70 Pro, Pro Plus Specifications and Features)
Both the Honor 60 Pro and 60 Pro Plus have a 6.8-inch 10-bit OLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. However, the Pro model’s screen offers full-HD + resolution and the Pro Plus model’s display offers quad-HD + resolution with LTPO technology. The display panels of these two phones are manufactured by the Chinese company BOE and have punch-hole cutouts for integrated fingerprint scanners and selfie cameras.
For performance, the Honor 70 Pro uses MediaTek’s Dimension 6000 processor and the Honor 70 Pro Plus model is powered by the latest Dimension 9000 chipset. Both the devices come with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM. However, the Pro model will have UFS 3.1 storage up to 512 GB, while the Pro Plus model will only have storage up to 256 GB.
For photography, the Honor 70 Pro and Pro Plus have a pillow-shaped rectangular camera module on the rear panel. The hexagonal rings inside the camera island include a 54-megapixel Sony IMX600 primary lens, a 50-megapixel wide-angle sensor and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with optical image stabilization (OIS). Both smartphones have a 50-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calling.
For power backup, the Honor 70 Pro and Pro Plus handsets come with a 4,600 mAh battery with 100-watt fast charging support. Connectivity options for both devices include 5G connectivity, a USB Type-C port, WIFI and Bluetooth 5.2. Both the smartphones run on Android 12 based MagicUI 6.1 custom skin.
